Use ToneFinance with Base App

The Base App is a mobile and web wallet for the Base network. You can use it to interact with ToneFinance directly from your phone or desktop.

What is Base App?

Base App is a wallet developed by Coinbase that works specifically with the Base blockchain. It’s a convenient way to access ToneFinance without needing MetaMask.

Step 1: Install Base App

On Mobile

• iOS: Download from Apple App Store 
• Android: Download from Google Play Store 

On Web

Visit base.app  in your browser

Step 2: Create or Import a Wallet

When you first open Base App:

• Create a new wallet (if you’re new)
• Import an existing wallet (if you already have one)

Create a New Wallet

1. Follow the setup prompts
2. Create a strong password
3. Save your recovery phrase somewhere safe
4. Confirm your recovery phrase

Import an Existing Wallet

1. Choose “Import a wallet”
2. Enter your 12-word recovery phrase
3. Create a password for this device

Step 3: Base Sepolia Network is Already Configured

Base App comes with Base Sepolia testnet pre-configured. You don’t need to manually add the network:

1. Open Base App
2. Look for the network selector (usually shows your current network)
3. Select “Base Sepolia” (testnet)

You’re now ready to use ToneFinance!

Step 4: Get Test Funds

You’ll need test ETH and USDC to use ToneFinance:

1. Get test ETH

   • Copy your wallet address from Base App
   • Use the Base Sepolia ETH faucet
   • Paste your address and claim ETH

2. Get test USDC

   • Use the USDC faucet
   • Follow the same process as with MetaMask

Step 5: Access ToneFinance

1. Visit the ToneFinance app 
2. Click “Connect Wallet”
3. Select “Base App” when prompted to connect
4. Approve the connection in Base App

You’re now connected and ready to deposit!

Switching Networks in Base App

If you’re on mainnet and need to switch to testnet:

1. Open Base App
2. Look for the network indicator at the top
3. Tap/click to see available networks
4. Select “Base Sepolia”

Import Tokens to Base App

If you withdraw tokens and they don’t appear in Base App:

1. Click “Add token” or similar option
2. Paste the token contract address (find these in Reference)
3. The token will appear in your account

Switching Between MetaMask and Base App

You can use both MetaMask and Base App with the same wallet if you use the same recovery phrase:

1. Import your recovery phrase into both apps
2. Switch between them as needed
3. Both will show the same account and balance

Just make sure you’re on Base Sepolia in whichever wallet you’re using!

Troubleshooting

Base App won’t connect to ToneFinance

• Make sure you’re on Base Sepolia network (not mainnet)
• Try refreshing the page
• Disconnect and reconnect your wallet

I don’t see my USDC in Base App

• You may need to import the USDC token manually
• Follow the “Import Tokens” section above
• Use the USDC address from Reference

Network keeps switching back to mainnet

• Check your Base App settings
• Make sure Base Sepolia is selected
• Some apps default to mainnet—always verify before transacting
